Tabata Intervals : Day 3 (Running In The Snow)

Got up today feeling good and went outside. It was snowing! Pretty densely too. It was a running day today so I set off running. I had long-johns on underneath my tracksuit running pants which was a bad idea because I sweated heavily. Felt like an amazing workout though.

I had to stop 3 to 4 times in total to catch my breath but that’s because I was running at a pretty high speed. I ran down Winchester, onto Croftsbank Road, down to Natwest, right down Flixton road and then all the way to the green room. When I got there I ran back again as I am only supposed to do 15 minutes running. When I got to about 75m from home I sprinted as fast as I could to home. It felt good and I know I got a great workout today.

Difficulty - 7/10

One more thing that I noticed. When I’m running I find music distracting. It’s not the same as when you’re doing reps of an exercise. For the last 5 minutes of the run today I took my earphones out and just ran silently. Felt much better and will use this again next time. Think I’m starting to feel the energy boost of daily exercise now. Feel more energetic. Need to get to bed earlier though. Can’t keep sleeping 11-5 every day.
