Not a bad day today. I can’t tell if the difficulty is getting easier or I’m not pushing myself hard enough. I can’t wait for those weights. They will make a huge difference. I don’t feel comfortable unless I’m challenging myself, it just feels like a repetitive chore otherwise.

  • Sit-ups – 10
  • Planks – All

For the sit-ups I held 2*2.3kg weights across my chest so that increased the resistance a little bit.

When I do sit-ups in the future when I have my dumbbells I can hold a weight plate on my chest to increase resistance. Maybe I could even buy a resistance band for this too. On Sunday when I have my run, I’m going to run with the 2.3kg weights in my hands to see if I can get some arm workout on the way too. Kinda all feeling a bit too easy at the moment. Maintenance but not growth.

Sit-Ups – 8, 11, 10, 10, 10*

Planks – All Completed

*with 2 x 2.3kg resistance.

I can definitely safely increase the resistance here. There is no point doing 40 sit-ups at low resistance. I’d rather do 5-15 at a lower rep count but higher weight. 26 days until my birthday. Argh!

Tomorrow is an Arms workout. They usually test me quite a lot.
